Has black America paid the price for helping elect Obama?

We are in the Lords year 2016 A.D. A lot has changed since 2008. We elected our official first black President. He passed the Affordable Healthcare Act for better or worse. He came up with Am I My Brother's Keeper. He came up with the Lilly Ledbetter Act. He saved the car industry. He ended the recession. Gays can now serve openly in the U.S. military. A lot has changed.
     Some things are the #SameAsItEverWas. #AltonSterling was just gunned down in the street. #TrayvonMartin was gunned down by a racist with a penchant for violence. Zimmerman is a real thug. #PhilandoCastile had his concealed permit in his back pocket. The officer in question told him to show it to him. When #PhilandoCastile went to reach for it, he was shot 4 times in the chest with his girlfriend and kid watching. #EricGarner was breaking up a fight. He was choked to death. #SandraBland refused to put her cigarette out. She was beaten and then mysteriously hung. I could spend 5 hours elaborating on hashtags.
     The racist wing of white America got very angry when President Obama was elected twice. So much so that the day President Obama was elected the #KKK website crashed due to so many trying to join. President Obama has the record for the most death threats ever in history. He had an 800% increase in threats against his life. Add insult to injury we have had drones invade 1600 Pennsylvania. Men jump fences. A clown flew a copter over the White House. Shots have been fired repeatedly at the White House. The #TeaParty cheers when these events occur. They don't dislike the Presidents policies. They hate the man. They say that he was born in Kenya with 0 proof. They call him a Muslim who hates whites (he is half white). They say that his birth certificate is fake.
     Enter Trump. Donald J. Trump is 100% culpable for the shootings. All of them. He sparked the match. He molds the #TeaParty hive mind. Brings out the true racist roots. #StormfrontFox stirs the pot 24/7.
     It is apparent that black people have been paying for the last 8 years an #ObamaTax. Voter suppression tactics. Racism through the roof. Cops gunning unarmed blacks. The #ObamaTax has been paid in blood, sweat, and tears. How long will it be until we get our next minority President? Was it worth it?

#OpMississippi

Mississippi has warped us back to the 1900's. It used to be illegal for women to vote. It used to be illegal for blacks to vote. It is 2016! We have interracial couples. It is a thing. It is not a fad. We are all mixed blood. I am not gay, but I support their efforts for equality. Who wants to feel like they are being left out? No biblical law, or man made law should be able to circumvent current logic. Old testament says to kill all the gays. This had to be changed. Now we must change with the times. By Mississippi logic maybe Apple should pull out of the state. Sounds reasonable. Hollywood too. Disney too. Money is green. Period. #OpMississippi has begun. They will pay for their decisions. Change is coming.

Hurricane Katrina 10 years later

Good day New Orleans, Mississippi  and other affected areas. Recently Beyoncé made a video that touched on Hurricane Katrina. This upset a lot of people.  The comments ranged from racist charges from the right to what took so long and why did she bring that up again? I have news for you. If you have a problem as big as Hurricane Katrina not talking about it and trying to forget about it won't make the pain go away. As a matter of fact the pain never goes away. Think about it. All of us have experienced loss. It could be rape, murder, A.I.D.S., finances, or a number of other woes. Even rich people have issues. I was in the Post Office a few years back. A group of total strangers just out of nowhere started talking about their experiences during Hurricane Katrina. They were of all colors and backgrounds. These people were experiencing what the military refers to as PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Talking about your inner demons with someone is the only way to truly heal. Think about it. Almost 11 years later and Hurricane Katrina seems as fresh as it happened yesterday. Heck in New Orleans East some parts still look like 2005. I will pray for all of you whether you like it or not. I will pray that we can get over ourselves with our manufactured hatred and see that we are more similar than different. Thanks for reading. #Eracism

Amadou Diallo & how Mayor Giuliani fumbled the football. 41 shots! Courtesy of The Washington Post

In the wake of the death of an unarmed African immigrant named Amadou Diallo -- killed in a hail of 41 bullets fired by New York City police -- and a state court's decision not to convict the officers involved in the man's death, Giuliani said the officers followed "standard procedure." Yes, "standard procedure" left a man with no criminal record and no weapon with no life left in his body. But according to Giuliani -- while still mayor and ostensibly the boss of a police force with its share of known problems and a series of high-profile shooting deaths and alleged police abuses in its record--  that was not something about which to be alarmed.

Got racism? He only shot a N#$%er

     Walter Henry Butler, 59, a self proclaimed (RACIST) was arrested by Gulf County Sheriffs deputies after shooting Everett Gant, a black man. Everett confronted Butler about using racial slurs to address children living in the apartment complex where the two men live. Butler pulled out a gun and shot Everett once in the face.

     Butler even admitted to shooting the victim. The psychopathic KILLER called 911 himself to report it. After making the call, he went back to cooking his dinner like nothing happened. When officers arrived on scene and placed him under arrest, Butler seemed annoyed by the arrest and told officers, “I only shot a n*gger.

     Butler was charged with attempted murder and a hate crime. He is being held at the Gulf County Jail. Gant is said to be in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Ms. Lauryn Hill On Racism

With just days to go until she is set to report to prison to serve a three month sentence for tax evasion, Ms. Lauryn Hill has taken to her Tumblr page again to address reverse racism and oppression in America.

    The concept of reverse racism is flawed, if not absolutely ridiculous. Most, if not all of the negative responses from people of color toward white people, are reactions to the hatred, violence, cruelty and brutality that they were shown by white people for centuries. Much of the foundation of the modern world was built on the forced free labor of black peoples. The African Slave Trade, the institution of slavery, colonialism, its derivative systems, and the multiple holocausts throughout history, where whites used race as the defining reason to justify their oppression, conquest, and brutal treatment of non-white peoples, are how race became such a factor to begin with.

    In order to justify reverse racism one would have to first create an even playing field, undo the generations of torture, terror, and brutality, and then judge whether or not a non-white person is in fact a racist. This approach would require people to examine the need/addiction to feel superior to someone else for no justifiable reason, and the myriad policies: Spiritual, political and social, that it bore. True dominion is self evident and not the result of sabotaging another in order to achieve it. That would be an illegitimate as well as a fleeting position. The Universe, will eventually seek to right/balance itself.

    If we took all of what we deem horrible regarding the criminal abuses that black people have committed over this country’s history, and add it all up, it still does not compare to the hundreds of years of terrorism, violent domination, theft, rape, abuse, captivity, and beyond that black people have suffered under the ideologies and systems of white supremacy, racism, and slave based paradigms. I say this only to say that abuse unresolved begets or creates abuse. How then does the chief offender become the judge? Might does not necessarily mean right. Right is right. People forcibly reduced to sub-human existences, so that they behave in sub-human ways, helps a system to justify itself or feel less guilty about its blood saturated foundation and gross crimes against humanity. People, like plants, grow where the light is. When you enclose a plant and limit its light source, it will bend itself toward the light, for the light is necessary for its survival. This same thing happens to people locked in communities where little light and little opportunity is allowed them, survival then forces them to twist and/or bend toward the only way of escape.
