Shadow Complex Review

Shadow Complex is a 2D/3D game exclusively made for the Xbox 360 arcade and is downloadable only. It is very similar to the styling of the old 2D Metroid games from Nintendo. This game quickly became my favorite arcade game, and is sucking up my Twitter and personal time. It was developed by Chair Entertainment, and Epic Games. It uses the Unreal 3 Engine and is a true labor of love. You can see that the production of this game is top notch. You play as James Flemming, a normal guy who is out with his girlfriend Claire backpacking in the mountains. Claire wanders off by herself to explore some caves. James goes after her with a flashilght. He finds her being dragged into the cave by some heavily armored guys. You wind up in the complex unraveling a plot by the soldiers to blow up parts of the United States, while trying to rescue Claire. In a word this game is stunning. The graphics are the best ever for an Xbox Liive Arcade game. It animates great with the occasional glitch here and there. The explosions are done very well. The weapon sounds are authentic. The water looks realistic. I highly recommend this game to any fan of old 2D style action games. A9.0 out of 10.

Street Fighter IV review

After a long haiatus away from the center stage, the World Warriors finally return! Street Fighter IV is one of the best fighting games ever created. You can tell that Capcom took it's time working on this masterpiece. Years in the making and finally released to the public on February 17, 2009 this game has it all. It rekindles all of the memories of the arcade, with online play to boot. We haven't seen a fighting game so finely tuned like this in ages. The gameplay has a new feel to it, while being nostalgic at the same time. It brings the series back to it's roots, while adding new players like Crimson Viper a female agent, Rufus a self-proclaimed number one fighter in the U.S., El Fuerte a Luchador (wrestler) and a cook, Abel a young man who is tracking down Shadaloo, Gouken Ken and Ryu's master and also Akuma's older brother, and Seth a.k.a. the Puppet Master the boss of S.I.N. He is the new boss of the game. The graphics are top notch. The game has a psuedo 2D/3D art form to it. Bottom line it looks great. The sound is also on point. You feel the punches when they are being thrown by a skilled player behind the joypad. The music sways more to rave if you like that sound. The online play while good, can have it's lag problems occasionally. I love this game so much I bought it for my Xbox 360, and my Playstation 3. I rate it a 9.5 out of 10! Highly recommended!

Call of Duty World at War Review

This game right here is the real deal. The single player isn't as good as Modern Warfare, but pound for pound you are looking at a fun game. The online is where it takes the crown from Modern Warfare. You can play co-op up to four players. The multi player has so many modes, it baffles the mind! My favorite is the headquarters mode! You also have capture the flag, team death match, search and destroy, free for all, and numerous other modes. Unlike Call of Duty Modern Warfare which has minimal updated, this game keeps getting updated constantly. There are three Map Packs that have been added to the game so far. It gives the game infinite replayability. There is also a Nazi Zombie mode that is a four player game of zombies trying to invade your base. You have to try to hold them back for as long as possible. I give this game a 9.0 out of 10!

Madden 2010 Review

Who got their copy of Madden 2010? This craze hits around this time every year. There were midnight release parties all throughout the United States last night! So far the average rating for the game is 88 out of 100 posted on http://www.metacritic.com/. The graphics are true next generation. The characters are animated so true to life it is borderline scary! The presentation is top notch minus a few glitches in the animation. http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14270629/madden-nfl-2010/videos/madden10_vdr_080709.html This is a review of the game. I trust IGN for game reviews. They are usually spot on. The online is great as usual. This game will definitely keep you entertained until Madden 2011! I give it an 8.9 out of 10!
